Welcome to the Register Big Consumer Tech Survey 2013. We're looking to gain some insight into your use of technology – mainly your personal views and opinions, but also how it relates to use of technology for personal and business use. The survey covers smartphones, tablets, TV, gaming and networking, which is quite a handful. If you use them all, please fill in the whole survey but if any part is not relevant please feel free to skip ahead. With that said, let's get started with a bit of information about you and your experience with consumer technology.
Now we'd like to look in some more detail at smartphones in particular. If you don't use one, please feel free to jump ahead, or else fill out the bits you have an opinion on. If you use a smartphone - or even more than one smartphone - for both business and personal use, where we're not asking specifically about personal or business use we'd like your overall opinion on how you think things are or should be.
For your smartphone, or main two smartphones if you use more than one, could you please tell us:
Now we'd like to look in some more detail at tablets. As before, if you don't use one, please feel free to jump ahead, or else fill out the bits you have an opinion on, and if you use a tablet for both business and personal use, where we're not asking specifically about personal or business use we'd like your overall opinion on how you think things are or should be.
We're getting to the home straight now. This section is about your TV and movie viewing habits and preferences, before we move onto gaming and home networking.
Almost there now. This section is all about gaming. If that's not your scene, please jump ahead now.
Last bit coming up – we'd like to know about your home networking setup, and particularly your experiences with Internet connectivity such as cable or ADSL.
That's it now. Just a few questions about who you are so we can make sense of it all, and we're finished. Thanks again for taking the time to answer the survey.
